R2’s strength in rule of law advisory services in Afghanistan emanate from its member’s work on legal reform and compilation of a database of Afghan, Afghan-American and U.S. legal professionals with knowledge of Afghanistan, a resource database on Afghanistan’s legal system that has been compiled since 2002, and implementation of two rule of law contracts for the Combined Joint Task Force since 2007.

R2 also specializes in the recruiting and training of local personnel with experience and relevant language skills for civilian and governmental positions throughout Afghanistan. R2’s overall training objective is to prepare personnel (individuals or groups) to conduct and execute core skill sets needed for Afghanistan’s reconstruction so that as foreign troops and donors reduce their presence, Afghans will be prepared to take on tasks and lead their own future.
